Getting Started

How do I set up my TalkNWear for the first time?

To set up your TalkNWear: 1) Charge the device fully using the included USB-C cable. 2) Download the TalkNWear companion app from the App Store or Google Play. 3) Turn on the device by pressing and holding the side button for 3 seconds. 4) Open the app and follow the on-screen pairing instructions. 5) Select your primary language and download your preferred language packs. The whole process takes about 5 minutes.

How do I pair the wireless earbuds?

The earbuds pair automatically with your TalkNWear device. Simply remove them from the charging case, put them in your ears, and power on the clip. You'll hear a confirmation tone when they're connected. You can also pair manually via Bluetooth in the companion app settings.

How do I download offline language packs?

Open the companion app, go to "Languages" → "Offline Packs", and tap the download icon next to any language. Each pack is about 200–400MB. Lite users can download up to 5 packs, Pro users up to 15. Offline translations work without WiFi or cellular data.

Troubleshooting

My TalkNWear isn't translating — what should I do?

Try these steps: 1) Make sure the device is powered on (LED indicator should be lit). 2) Check that the correct source and target languages are selected in the app. 3) Ensure the earbuds are connected. 4) If using offline mode, verify the language pack is downloaded. 5) Restart the device by holding the side button for 10 seconds. If the issue persists, please contact our support team.

The battery is draining faster than expected.

Battery life can vary based on usage. Offline mode uses more power than online mode. To maximize battery: 1) Use online translation when WiFi is available. 2) Reduce the number of active offline language packs. 3) Keep the firmware updated. 4) Avoid extreme temperatures. If your battery still drains unusually fast, it may need a replacement — reach out to support.

The earbuds won't connect to the clip device.

1) Place both earbuds back in the charging case and remove them again. 2) Make sure the earbuds are charged. 3) In the companion app, go to Settings → Earbuds → Forget Device, then re-pair. 4) If using custom earbuds, enable Bluetooth pairing mode on the clip by pressing the side button 3 times quickly.

Translation accuracy seems low — how can I improve it?

For best results: 1) Speak clearly and at a natural pace. 2) Keep the clip within 30cm of your mouth. 3) Use online mode for better accuracy (our cloud models are more powerful). 4) Avoid noisy environments or use the noise-cancellation feature in the app. 5) Keep your firmware updated — we regularly improve translation models.

Device Care

How do I clean my TalkNWear?

Wipe the clip device gently with a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water. Do not use alcohol, solvents, or abrasive cleaners. For the earbuds, remove the silicone tips and rinse them separately with warm water (let them dry completely before reattaching). Never submerge the main clip device in water.

Can I wear TalkNWear in the rain?

Yes! TalkNWear is IPX5 water-resistant, which means it can handle rain, splashes, and sweat. However, it's not designed for swimming or full submersion. If the device gets wet, dry it off with a cloth as soon as possible.

How should I store TalkNWear when not in use?

Store your TalkNWear in the included carrying case in a cool, dry place. If you won't be using it for an extended period, charge it to about 50% before storing, and recharge every 3 months to maintain battery health. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight or temperatures above 45°C / 113°F.
